DESIRE.
Successful Home Inspectors want to help homebuyers make wise decisions. Whether the inspection turns up serious concerns or gives the home a clean bill of health, they can provide real peace of mind. Thriving Home Inspectors have the desire to grow their business and manage their own lives.
COMMUNICATION.
It doesn’t hurt to be a good smoozer. And a good listener. Building a Home Inspection business requires relationship building with realtors, appraisers and lenders. Getting referrals from customers, friends – even people whose home you inspect – all depend on your people skills. On the flip side, Home Inspectors learn a lot about a house from listening to what homeowners say, sometimes without meaning to reveal important information. Attentive listening and good communication skills go a long way toward success.
ORGANIZATION.
Running a business does take a certain amount organization and self-discipline. Record keeping and reports are integral parts of the Home Inspection business. Fortunately, we have all the tools available for you to make those tasks easy.
TRAINING.
Home Inspectors are licensed professionals. In most states, that means passing a licensing exam and obtaining pre-licensing education. So when you get right down to it, it’s all about training.
This state approved program is designed to work an individual through 30 supervised home inspections in order to qualify for State of Arizona Home Inspector Certification with the Arizona Board of Technical Registration. This program is structured according to the student’s schedule and each home inspection is an actual home that meets the BTR requirement. Please contact Michael Bley for more information.
